Microwave Convection Questions

I need a new microwave and I’m tempted to go with a convection microwave. Any thoughts?
My old microwave finally went after after 11 years…bummer! I know I need a high watt, large capacity 1.8 to 2.0 cu. ft. one, but I also think a convection microwave would be nice. I know I will give up between .5 and .3 cu. ft of space going with the convection. Normally, I use my microwave for reheating, however the features of a convection microwave sound nice. Any opinions?
Definately get a convection microwave. It is a great easy and fast way to cook small things like a mashed potatoes, baked potatoes or little casseroles.
Dual Functionality With A Microwave Convection Oven
—> Learn about microwave convection ovens at Best Convection Microwave.
We’re all familiar with microwave ovens and their benefits for cooking food at a rapid speed. And we’re all familiar with convection ovens, which are the kitchen ovens that make use of a fan to circulate hot air throughout the oven. Both of these types of ovens have their clear benefits, but with a microwave convection oven you can have the benefits of both types of ovens in a single unit. If you ever struggle to make the most efficient use of your kitchen space, then appliances with dual function and features could be a god-send for you.
Microwave ovens use microwave radiation to heat up the water and various other polarized molecules inside the food. This process is rather uniform, heating all sections of the food cooked to about the same degree. This means that food is cooked or heated quickly, but is not able to brown foods on the outside or bake them, or achieve certain elements of taste that result from the less uniform cooking of a traditional or convection oven.
As mentioned briefly above, convection ovens utilize a fan to shift hot air around the food in the oven. This prevents the food from being insulated by a layer of cool air that is prevent in traditional ovens. This hot air circulation maintains the browning and baking effects of a traditional oven while lowering the temperature required to cook the food.
A microwave convection oven will have both strong points: the ability to brown and bake, along with the speed and efficiency of microwave cooking. Other features of convection ovens are also present, such as the ability to preheat the oven in preparation for baking. If you simply need a way to heat up food that is already cooked, then a simple microwave oven will do the trick. But if you are like most people and would also like to prepare your own foods with a lot of versatility, then a microwave convection oven will be a culinary dream come true.
