can you use glue to repair a broken latch in a microwave oven?
I have a Sharp Carousel Convection Microwave oven, Model R-7H52, and I accidentally broke one of the two latches in the door, and I was wondering if I could use glue to repair the broken latch because it is a relatively clean break.

As long as the super-glue can hold the door latch it should be OK since, if it breaks, there’s still another latch holding the door.
Because of the location of the latches, you won’t have to worry about any microwave radiation hitting it.
Just make sure -and I already mentioned this- that the superglue can hold it, otherwise there’s a chance that the oven can still be running even if the door is open (microwave ovens are supposed to automatically shut down if the doors are opened, but if the latch is broken, the oven won’t know)
